Our family group of four stayed in two rooms prior to a cruise in June 2011. The hotel was as good as any of the reviews we had read on Tripadvisor.
My wife broke a tooth on the flight over so we asked the manager if there was any possibility of an appointment with a dentist that afternoon. This was a big ask!
The manager arranged an appointment with an excellent dentist, took us there and gave the receptionist directions for us to get back to the hotel by taxi. The dentist crowned my wife's tooth and the price was reasonable by Australian standards. We only wish we spoke Italian to be able to express our gratitude for an after hours appointment at 6-15pm, and a job well done.
When we left on the cruise our daughter in law inadvertantly left her phone in the room at Hotel Borgo del Mare. An email a few days later confirmed that the hotel had the phone which we picked up after 10 days when our cruise returned to Civitavecchia.
